… :< At about 11 last night, if you listened close enough, you could probably hear my groan of anguish world wide. This episode was a big, bad disappointment to me. I’ll explain why when I get there.

The episode starts off where we left off. Spirytus has transformed and soon after Toa transformed into her badly CGI’d form to go speak with him. They talk, but the ISDA dispatches some helicopters to try to destroy Spirytus. This doesn’t work as Toa (called Album in Dragon form) disabled them.

…The ISDA gives the other dragons (Machina, Amedaus, and Howling Star) the go ahead to actualize. So they do. Okay, fist before the actualization the Dragonaut’s go into these special chambers and change into battle suit. Oh lawd, they stand there trying to be cool-looking, but they just come off as extremely dorky.

So, much to my displease, these dragons aren’t just normal space dragons. They are part MECHA dragons. They have a little compartment for their Dragonaut riders to ride in. I was very unhappy, since I dislike mecha things.

The next 15 minutes were hard to capture. The dragons flew so fast and were trying to capture Album and Spirytus. In the moment, Kazuki’s dragon Gio is awakened. He says that Album/Toa is calling to him.

Jin and Kazuki who are watching the fight from the ground witness a very naked Gio walk past them and actualize. Jin does a running jump thing onto Gio in his actualized form. Kazuki emo’s about it since Gio is his dragon.

Jin touches Album and is transported, mentally, to her mind. She says that since Jin has seen her transform that she cannot continue to be with him. She then approaches Gio, who claims he was born to protect her.

In the end, the other Dragonauts end up destroying Spirytus while Album and Gio get away. Jin is knocked into the ocean and goes all emo about being alone again.

This episode was filled with EMO by the way. It was everywhere.

This episode made me like this anime significantly more. That’s just how cool I though it was. Explained a little about the dragons, learned a bit about the shuttle crash, …a wee bit of romance.

Okay, so if you woke up naked in an unfamiliar place, what would your first thought be? If you were a substance abuser like myself, it’d be ‘I knew I shouldn’t have mixed heroin and vodka’. Jin is obviously not one. He flashes back to after he mean Toa. She leaves in a flash and Jin is asked to get into a car with a strange girl. He…well, he doesn’t even refuse. He just hesitates. The girls butler comes up behind him and BEATS HIS ASS. Jin ends up naked in afformentioned room.

The girl who knocked him out comes in and in true anime style the sheet around Jin’s waist falls to the floor. She makes a crack about him being a ‘small man’ and yeah. Later, after obviously giving him some clothes, this girl escorts Jin to a conference room when an authoritative looking man is waiting.

This man drops the bomb. It turns out Jin’s family wasn’t killed by the pilot error his father made (which apparently is illegal since Jin’s father was imprisoned after.) it was really the dragons coming to earth. The dragon’s are being shot off an asteroid bound for earth called Thanatos.

This man refuses to release Jin’s father and then the haughty little prick demands that Jin become a Dragonaut. Jin refuses, but when he tries to leave Kazuki enters. Somehow…in the next scene…Jin got talked into a car with Kazuki. =/

Jin eventually gets home and then leaves it again to go meet Toa. Turns out he is being watched by the ISDA, the organization that captured him. They want to capture Toa now. Jin and Toa watch the sunset and eventually run off after breaking one of the ISDA’s cameras. They get surrounded by the forces, but Toa, being the superhuman that she is jumps really high with Jin in her arms.

Makina, another more busty super human, traps Toa’s legs in this like…water web whip thing as she tries to get away. Toa breaks free and drops Jin off before she continues to run. Makina and three other super humans (including the chick’s butler from the beginning) follow her and surround her. One of them twitches and the whole scene explodes.

Jin catches up and tries top go find Toa, but is confronted by Kazuki who is pointing a gun at him. Jin is angry and feels all alone, but Toa comes and scoops him up. She gives Jin a big ol’ kiss and tells him he has her so he’s not alone. Aww…>_>

You know that superhuman that flinched, he’s turning into a monster now. Okay, now to explain the dragons. Toa, Makina, The old Butler, and…the other super humans are all Dragons. They just take a human form when they have good communication with their master. The dragon that is transforming has very low communication with his master right now since his master is going a bit crazy…The monster, whose real name is Spirytus, changes into his full dragon form and eats his master (oh lawd!).

Spirytus chases after Toa and Jin. Toa makes a stand saying that she will protect Jin. Since Toa’s a dragon and Jin is her master, you see. Toa then transforms into a full dragon and the episode ends.

šŸ˜€ It was great. I hate most Gundam shows, but this one reminded me of Gundam SEED. Still, I loved it. Hopefully, in this next episode I’ll get some names for these Dragons and their masters.

This is another one of those animes I ‘watched on accident’. Not that I wasn’t going to watch it, but I was supposed to be watching Myself; Yourself. Anyway, my very first impression of this made me think of Tales of Legendia, based purely on the style of their clothes and the way the characters looked. But that’s good, I liked Tales of Legendia.

It starts off with Jin Kamishina, our hero, on a space flight with his family. In the makings of a real hero, the space flight gets hit by this…space asteroid thing, and everyone was killed except him. It’s really quite sad, later in the episode you find out his mother and sister were flying through the air near him, but got hit by a large piece of ship. :<

A short while later Jin is staying with some relatives and is being pestered by what I assume is a journalist. Can’t those damn media folks just leave pained people alone? Sheesh.

Elsewhere, in some uber-secret laboratory, a child-hood friend of Jin’s named Kazuki is about to undergo a Resonance. Which is quite a shocking ritual where a dragon egg sucks out a bit of your life inĀ order to grow, making the human a ‘Dragonaut’.

Meanwhile~ Jin is walking down the street when he witnesses a monster killing a young woman. Oh noes! Now the monster, being the monster that he is, decides to attack Jin. Jin, being very much like a little girl, runs off screaming. Eventually he ends up being blown out of a building, much like that time he was going into space and his ship asploded!

This time, he was saved by a mysterious and busty pink haired woman named Toa. Suddenly, Jin…Doesn’t feel so alone.

I liked it, but then again I like most things. It wasn’t great, but it was far from bad. The characters are all beautiful and, in true style to anime, come with every hair colorĀ in theĀ rainbow.
