Been a little bit, I need to watch hard to catch up to all the other anime blogs out there with this one. Especially since after this series ends there is another Minami-ke series slotted.

Anyway, this is a seriously Kana-centric episode. It’s basically centered around her growing relationship with Fujioka. It starts off at school, Kana and her friend Keiko. It’s obviously a test day and everyone is getting back their marks. Kana is proud of her score of a 65 (which is failing at my school…?) and refers to it as a ‘very human score’ unlike Keiko’s calculator-esque 100 marks.

Banchou (fujioka) arrives on the scene. Kana thinks she can compete with him; however, as it turns out he scored one point above her. Kana is devastated. She is determined to beat him and makes a bet on it. Loser gets to be the other’s dog. Fujioka eagerly accepts. Hilarity ensues, and even after Kana’s obsessive edits, she still fails to beat Fujioka. However she does not end up being his dog.

Later that night, Kana and Chiaki are sitting around. Kana haphazardly asks Chiaki how her grades are. Chiaki distracts! Distracts with prawn and mayonnaise flavored cracks. Now I don’t know about you guys, but at the time, those sounded delicious. But Kana is onto her ploy! Chiaki shows Kana her near perfect marks, and in retaliation Kana drinks all her milk. Thus proving Chiaki correct that nothing good would come of this.

Kana tries to make nice, but in the end she just drinks all the milk. Not good, since Haruka is making cream stew tonight. =/ Kana rushes to go get some, but falls over ill. Milk will do that to you, fact. She then decides to make dinner herself….Nearly kills them both.

The next day, Kana is ambushed by Fujiko as she sleeps. He states that he really likes her. Kana runs home for Chiaki’s council. Chiaki seems to think that he must…really like her. The next night Chiaki returns home to find the banchou in their house. Kana is attempting to play nice with him. Everything is going fairly well until Haruka makes a comment that he reminds her of Dad. Chiaki, obviously not knowing much of her father, decides to jump at this chance.

In a very…pedophilish way, Chiaki sits down between Fujioka’s legs. After a bit of thought, Kana is alarmed! Fujioka is trying to turn her own sisters against her! She kicks him out. XD

This is a big episode mostly all about sex jokes and panty humor. I suspect this is all the anime will be made up of, but I really have no problem with that. This shit’s really grown on me, man.

The episode starts off at Haruka’s school where one of her friends wants to drop out. Haruka and he other shyier friend seems to have no problem with this, but she urges them to ask why. It’s because of the skirt they wear are showing their panties. To prove her point Haruka’s friend even gets up the table and sneaks a peak up Haruka’s skirt. She was about to yell it out loud, but Haruka give her a very threatening warning.

Later there’s a bit about her friend wearing bloomers under her skirt. She lifts up her skirt of Haruka can see, this wouldn’t have been nearly as funny if there weren’t onlookers. At home, Kana remarks that Haruka stayed late with a male classmate. She mentions that she hopes they weren’t doing funny things.

But no one in that household knows what ‘funny things’ means. These girls really need internet porn, I tell ya…So that’s an episode long joke.

The next day, at Chiaki’s school her friends ask if she wants to come over. Chiaki responds ‘Will we be doing funny things?’ A rather amusing male classmate seems to know what this means, but the other one just respond with they will be playing games.

Later it turns out that Chiaki is rather good at giving nicknames for people, but she cuts to a persons most obvious trait. This usually ends up hurting people’s feelings. After doing all the teachers, she does the students and of course they are all distraught.

At home, Kana yells at Chiaki for studying in the living room. Saying that it is making her look bad. They end up having a competition of brains, with Kana getting most answers badly wrong. The competition ends with a writing portion. The topic? Define what ‘Funny things’ are? Kana responds with ‘Well…they are definitely funny…’

Haruka comes home a little later and they bombard her with the same writing question. She tricks them by writing ‘What do you want for dinner?’ They decide on Curry Udon, by the way.

I’ve heard both good an bad things about this one before I watched it. Turned out…more on the amusing side. It’s not the most side splitting thing I’ve ever seen, but it did make me chuckle a bit. Mostly because I’m sort perverted though. (Read on and you shall see.)

The story starts of with a message saying something about ‘This is a report of the average life of the three Minami sisters’ (not an exact quote since I watched this yesterday.) Anyway, this causes one to think that you know, this anime would be special. Like they would all be super horny aliens or something, but~ Turns out it’s just thier normal skit comedy filled lives. =/

That’s not really a bad thing, I guess. It really starts off on a Sunday with the three sisters. Haruka, the oldest and the mother figure of the bunch is already awake and cooking. Chiaki, the emotionally lethargic youngest sister, awakes next and goes to help cook. The final sister to awake is the token energetic girl of the bunch, Kana, she gets up and gets ready only to go downstairs and proclaim that since it’s sunday she’ll go back to bed.

The rest of the day ain’t really important! 😀 In the evening the three sisters are eating dinner infront of the TV while watching a Japanese drama. The male teacher and his student, being the loving couple that they are, kiss on TV. Haruka and Kana remark later how awkward that was to watch with Chiaki. Somehow, Kana gets the brilliant idea to show Chiaki what a kiss means. You know what this means righto?

Chiaki, being the normal human she is, resists her sisters’ advances. Kana chases her all around the house until Haruka breaks them up. This was the only part of the anime I really liked. =/

The next skit is one about making Pancakes for dinner when Haruka is going to be late. After Kana’s wacky mishaps it ends up too watery and Chiaki makes her eat her cream soup.

The final skit is when Kana receives a love letter from a sexy male classmate Fujioka. Chiaki, I’m not sure if she was messing with her sister or not, interprets it as a letter of challenge. As in, Fujioka wants to fight Kana. So…Kana kicks him in the shin. End.

Hah, it had it’s hits and misses with me, but I liked it. This is probably the first really skit based anime I’ve ever watched so… Oh, my Blog broke the 1K barrier last night. After only 15 day I think that’s pretty coo’
